6. QBOSO Rechargeable Glow in The Dark Golf Balls –
Want some glowing golf balls but are tight on budget? This is a good option! You are getting not six, not ten, but twelve balls for the price of three. It has an identical look to a golf ball, but the plastic is similar to normal cheap golf balls.
These balls have a tough plastic cover that cracks after a few strikes. Once they crack, you lose around 15-20 yards, making it almost useless. Although it was a big bummer, I can’t expect anything better for the price.
All these balls have a decent glow that’s visible even in the water. The glow is around half the good ones on the list, but I think it’s perfect for the price.
With around 20-30 seconds charge from the blacklight, you get around 10-15 minutes of glow. I’ll only recommend it if you are super tight on budget.
Pros
- Super affordable; you get 4X more balls.
- It has a decent glow that’s visible in the water
- Glows quickly for a good amount of time
Cons
- The plastic material cracks after a few strikes
- It’s only good for short-term

5. Ilysport LED Glow in The Dark Night Golf Balls –
These balls are similar to Thiodoon’s balls(#1 here). They look the same, come in the same color, have the same light uptime(8 minutes), and even the same battery standby(40 hours). The only difference is the quality, which I think is worse here.
The balls feel like a solid piece of plastic and feel like cement when stroked with a golf club. So, I only recommend half swings with seven irons(at max), and please don’t hit with drivers, or they’ll die immediately.
I love how they come packed inside but hate the failure rate here. One of the six balls didn’t work out of the box, while the other two stopped working within a couple of months. So, six months down the line, only three are working.
These LEDs(like glow balloons) glow super bright except for the white one, which is pretty lame. The glow is very bright, but it’s super hard to get them to glow without a hard hit. Strike them with a putter or throw them hard on concrete, and it will glow like a charm.
It’s a plus if you want to use it in the day time as well. For more color options, check this out.
Pros
- The glow is bright and vivid.
- When struck, it glows for 8 minutes, and the total glow time is 40 hours.
- You get six color balls packed separately inside.
Cons
- The overall quality isn’t good
- √SUPER BRIGHT LED NIGHT GOLF BALL – They are super bright glow in the dark golf ball, including blue, orange, red, white, green and pink colors. It is very beautiful when playing in the dark.
- √LONG TIME CONSTANTLY ON – It can be constantly lit up for 8 minutes after impact each time. The battery inside will last 40 hours, which means that you can strike the ball over 800 times
- √VERY EASY AND FUN TO USE - No battery needed, no charger needed. You just need to hit it and it lights up automatically and leave you a nice colorful shot in the sky.

4. BattlePulse 6 pcs Light Up Golf Balls with Mesh Bag –
If you want a value-for-money golf ball, this is the best option. With a 3-layer design, this thing can withstand heavy impact, unlike most others. It glows on impact and stays glowing for ten minutes, giving you enough time to find them.
It has a battery life of 50+ hours, which is more than I expected. It’s like the biggest glow time I have ever seen. The glow is bright, and you can easily see them. Of course, it doesn’t feel like an absolute golf ball, but around 80-90% similar.
You get six white balls in the box that glow to their color upon impact. From all the six, white and green are the brightest while the others are great too. Also, you get a free mesh bag, making it convenient to carry them.
Pros
- The three-layer design makes it sturdy.
- It glows for ten minutes and has a total glow time of 50+ hours.
- The glow is bright and easily noticeable.
- The free mesh bag makes it convenient.
- It’s the best value for a money ball.
Cons
- The glow isn’t as bright as the best ones on the list

3. Night Eagle 6 Pack Eagle CV LED Golf Balls –
This is the costliest, sturdiest, and most unique ball on the list. It doesn’t glow by striking or charge but by the touch of a strong light source on the circle sensor. A small circle switch turns on the LED when you touch it with an intense light like your cell phone’s flashlight.
Once on, it’ll glow until you turn it off(or the battery dies), so there is no timer to look up to. You no longer have to rush in to find your precious ball before it’s too late. While it’s fantastic, it also depletes the total glow time a bit faster, which is already less than others, i.e., 30 hours.
This ball is made from three layers, so it takes a heavy impact without any dents or chips. And even after that, the light seems to work just fine. However, make sure the circle is always beneath; otherwise, you might break the switch.
Currently, it’s available in five different colors from which white and green are the best. You can either choose to get the mixed colors(picture above) or standard colors. This also doesn’t go as far as the real ball as every LED golf ball.
I think they only go about 70% as far as normal balls, around two clubs different. I love it, but you might find it quite costly. But before you decide anything, give it a look.
Pros
- The sturdiest and most unique ball
- There are no glow timers, so there is no need to hurry.
- It’s available in five vibrant colors.
- The ball can withstand high impact.
- It glows brightly and has a total glow time of 30 hours.
Cons
- Probably the costliest one in the market
- To activate you touch a strong light source, such as the light from your smartphone camera, to the printed circle on the ball.
- No Timer! Don't loose your ball before you get to it. Ball turns off when you deactivate it!
- Approximately 30 hours of continuous use. In most cases the battery outlasts the ball!

2. R&L Glow Golf Balls for Night Sports –
If you want an absolute golf ball that “glows in the dark,” this is perfect. It hits and feels like actual golf balls, unlike LED balls that feel more like a rock. The twist here is that you have to charge it to see the glow, just like glow paint.
The good thing is, it comes with a 24 LED UV flashlight, so you can charge it quickly without a problem. With one minute of charge, it lasts around 10 minutes, which is excellent. You can charge it longer for a better duration.
After testing it long enough, I realize that you’ll constantly charge them almost every hole to keep them glowing. However, if you don’t want to waste a ton of time charging, you should get a Blacklight. It’s more than amazing.
Remember, the glow is nowhere close to LED balls but is enough to spot in the dark. These are slightly softer and have a low compression core with soft urethane skin that makes them closer to real balls.
My two-cent is – If you want to putt with your kids after dark, LED balls would most likely be fun for the kids, but for full swing with your Driver, these are what you want. It’s currently available in three pack options.
Pros
- It feels and hits like a real golf ball.
- The glow is good enough to spot in the dark easily.
- Since it’s rechargeable, you can use it forever.
- It is softer, has a low compression core, and has a double fluorescence layer.
- It comes with a 24 LED UV Flashlight
Cons
- The glow is nowhere close to LED balls

1. THIODOON Led Glow In The Dark Golf Balls –
These golf balls from Thiodoon are the ones you must be going for. It’s very affordable, glows the best, and has a total lighting time of 40-50 hours. This has impressed me the most.
These balls feel like real golf balls and are fun to hit at night. Once hit, they light up for eight minutes to give you enough time to find them. The glow is bright and vivid, and you can easily notice them from far away.
You get six bright colors that look like a rainbow all across the sky upon hit. Even though they feel like a real ball, they don’t have the distance of actual golf balls (probably around 25% shorter).
But I’m fully satisfied, and I think you’ll too until you are super serious about night practice. The battery inside glows for 40-50 hours, which means you get around 800 strikes to play with. Probably the best one so far.
Pros
- Very affordable and full value-for-money
- It has a total lightning time of 40-50 hours
- It feels like real golf balls
- It is bright, vivid, and easily noticeable
Cons

Remaining Four Glow Golf Balls –
Table could not be displayed.Things to Consider Before Buying –
Choosing the right glow-in-the-dark golf ball is a difficult task with so many features like color, battery life, and glow time to consider. There are thousands of brands that sell these products.
Hence, it becomes essential not to fall for the wrong ones. Whether you are shopping online or from takeaway stores, you should consider these four factors before purchasing.
1. Brightness –
While playing golf at night, you need a ball with more visibility. A variety of glow in the dark balls are available in the market. LED, UV-powered, and glow stick golf balls are the most popular types.
Out of these, LED and UV versions have better playability. LED balls are brighter than UV reactive balls, but their glow fades away after the battery dies; the same problem we have in LED products like glow dark dog collars. UV balls last much longer but are not as bright.
LED balls’ shine slows down for at least 8 minutes to 15 minutes to save energy. Examples are glow basketball(with the glowing net), glow soccer ball, etc. It cannot be very pleasant when playing the game. At the same time, UV models last for a couple of hours.
Although, both of these balls will glow again when hit. This golf equipment comes in various colors like red, white, green, blue, yellow, and pink. Different colors glow differently. Usually, green, white, and yellow shine the brightest.
2. Duration –
Other than brightness, it would help if you also consider the glow time. Most of the night-golf balls will flare at their brightest for about 15-20 minutes. After that, the glow will begin to fade.
UV type shimmers throughout and also has an afterglow that lasts for hours. The drawback with LED balls is that they light up for a few minutes and then stop. They need an impact to glow again just like glow in the dark dog balls.
Another disadvantage of these balls is that some might break if hit at a velocity over 100 MPH. A premium quality UV-powered ball can glow for up to 24 hours, although the shine will fade away after a while.
As these don’t have an LED bulb inside them, the material is sturdier. You may need to purchase a UV light for faster charging, whereas you don’t need to make this extra investment with LED ones.
If you want a brighter glow, you should go for LED ones, and if you want a constant shimmer, it would be best to buy UV ones.
3. Size and Weight –
While getting a glow in the dark ball, ensure that the size and weight are PGA approved for playing professionally. According to golf rules, a ball should be at least 1.680 inches wide and weigh less than 1.620 ounces.
Fulfilling these parameters is very important as they also affect how you play. The LED balls are usually heavier than the UV ones because they have a bulb sealed together with a battery that can make the game less productive.
However, newer models of these balls are made of advanced, durable, and lightweight materials. These balls offer great performance and reliability. UV night balls are covered with a urethane coating with a compressed center.
They appear just like ordinary golf balls and offer mostly the same functionalities. Sometimes these balls can be too lightweight and bounce off easily. Make sure you purchase a good quality ball, whether it’s LED or UV reactive.
4. Recharge Time –
The LED ones are non-rechargeable. In comparison, the UV ones can be charged by exposure to sunlight or a flashlight for about 2-3 minutes. Some only take a minute to recharge fully.
A good-quality LED ball can have a capacity of up to 40 hours before the battery dies. These offer a very strong and bright light, making the ball comparatively easier to locate in the dark.
Neon balls provide an instant glow. These are at their highest brightness for 7 to 10 minutes. The faded light lasts much longer and can glow for as long as 6 hours. Many UV balls come with a flashlight that can be used for charging.
Whichever type of ball you buy, you mustn’t settle for a bad quality ball only because it is cheap. A good product may be a little expensive, but worth all the money spent.
FAQs –
Is Glow In The Dark Golf Balls Water-Resistant?
Yes, there are many water-resistant glow golf balls available. It is best if you consider buying such a ball because you will play with it over wet grass at one point or another. Initially, you won’t face any problems.
However, keeping it damp for too long will make the product too brittle and damage it over time. LED balls have an electrical appliance inside them. So, be more careful with them.
What Colour Is the Most Visible?
Green and yellow colors are the easiest to see. These balls are visible in every weather condition. Blue is the dullest color in general. However, all the colors are very bright if you buy a renowned brand’s good quality product.
LED ones glow very brightly no matter what the color is. If you are purchasing a UV ball, then you may not want to consider the color blue.
Can You Use LED Balls After Their Battery Runs Out?
Yes, absolutely. If the ball is in good condition after the capacity has been used ultimately, you can use them to play daytime golf. Playing with colored balls every once in a while during the day can be very amusing. It can also make golf more enjoyable.
Final Thoughts
Because of advancements in technology, you can now enjoy your favorite sport at night. Moreover, why wait for the day when you could start playing in the dark? You can easily find a diverse range of glow in the dark balls as per your specific requirements. Hopefully, the above-listed products and guidelines will help you in your journey to find the one that suits you best.
